The BOSS Framework™
BOSS is how we measure — and build — a business that runs on systems instead of on the owner. It looks at four pillars, scores them out of 100 and shows exactly where to start.
What BOSS stands for
Each pillar answers one question every owner should be able to answer with confidence.
Is the business running on defined processes — or on people?
Does every activity have a responsible owner?
Can management make decisions using reliable information?
Can the business grow without increasing chaos?
The BOSS Score
Business Process carries the most weight. Processes are the heart of every business — without them, ERP, dashboards, KPIs and automation all fail.

BOSS Maturity Scale
Your BOSS Score places the business on one level. The goal isn't perfection — it's moving up one level at a time.
Score 0–20
Work happens through constant firefighting and the owner's personal effort.
Score 21–40
Problems are handled as they appear. Little is documented or measured.
Score 41–60
Some processes and reports exist, but key decisions still wait for the owner.
Score 61–80
Defined processes, clear owners and regular reviews run most of the work.
Score 81–100
Systems, people and data run the business predictably — the owner steers, not chases.
How BOSS builds SOPs
In BOSS, a Standard Operating Procedure is a documented and governed method for doing a business activity consistently, efficiently and measurably.
Process → SOP document → stored in a folder. Nobody reads it, nobody follows it, and the process still depends on people.
Process → SOP → training → KPI → ERP → governance. Standardised execution, measurable compliance, ERP-aligned operations and less dependency.
The BOSS documentation hierarchy
Policies set the rules, processes connect departments, and SOPs, work instructions and checklists make each step repeatable.
SOP maturity
No SOPs. Everything depends on individual employees.
SOPs exist, but they aren't followed.
SOPs are followed by most employees.
The ERP enforces the SOP.
SOP + ERP + KPI + audit. The business runs consistently.
The real obstacle
The biggest obstacle to growth usually isn't the ERP, the SOPs or the dashboards. It's that the owner has become every role at once.
The result: growth slows, decisions bottleneck, managers wait for instructions and accountability fades. BOSS distributes authority, accountability and decision-making through the organisation — so the business can run predictably without constant owner intervention.
